Workout of the Week: Sunday Transformation Bootcamp, Westport
It’s Sunday morning and it’s just way too pretty outside to be in a gym. Looking for an alternative? How about a butt kicking outdoor bootcamp in one of Westport’s most beautiful back yards? Here you go…
Taught by local fitness instructor and trainer extraordinaire Jill Lahmar, this boot camp is sure to challenge participants of all levels. After a warmup up, she will go over all exercises and demonstrate modifications to make the moves either easier or harder. And just when you think you are done with the workout of the day she adds more plyometrics, agility and balance exercises and tons of core work at the end (which are not indicated on the white boards!).
Each week brings on a totally different and unique one hour workout. Throughout the workout Jill enthusiastically manages the group with encouragement and also correct your form and technique if needed.
You’ll be working out with a wide variety of participants: Staples athletes, parents and their college kids who are home for the summer and Jill’s groupies. This bootcamp is for all fitness levels.
